At 24.2 Megapixels, the EOS M5's sensor delivers images suitable for enlargements with sufficient resolution for significant trimming. Whether making poster-sized prints, zooming in on a particular detail or making Full HD movies, the EOS M5's sensor is primed to deliver. An ISO range of 100-25600 means images can be captured with low noise and high detail, even in dimly lit situations. Fast and smooth Dual Pixel CMOS AF helps you capture stills and shoot video with quick and precise autofocus. When the action is happening fast, you and your camera have to be ready to capture that unforgettable photo - and with the EOS M5 camera, there's virtually no wait for it to focus, even in low light. Inside, its Dual Pixel CMOS AF system offers fast and precise autofocus that stays locked onto your subject, even if your subject is in motion, for both photos and videos. This advanced Canon technology uses 24.2 million sensors to quickly determine how far away an object is and therefore where the lens should focus, and is available while using the electronic viewfinder and when using Live View on the rear screen. Dual Pixel CMOS AF helps ensure your images are sharp, while keeping to a minimum the time it takes to lock focus onto your subject, and smoothly maintaining focus where you want it. High-speed continuous shooting at up to 7.0 fps (up to 9.0 fps with AF Lock) and new DIGIC 7 Image Processor with improved AF tracking performance. Continuous Shooting at Up to 7.0 fps (Up to 9.0 fps with AF Lock): To help you get multiple images of a fast-moving subject and ensure you capture the moment you want, the EOS M5 camera is capable of taking up to 7.0 frames per second (up to 9.0 fps with AF Lock). Whether you're capturing an athlete making a goal or a toddler running clumsily after bubbles, the EOS M5 can take the shot and stay locked on with its new DIGIC 7 Image Processor. DIGIC 7 Image Processor: The new DIGIC 7 Image Processor's enhanced tracking and detection capabilities help keep subjects in focus, while helping to ensure each image has a high level of sharpness and minimum picture noise. Whether you're capturing a fast-moving athlete or a feisty puppy, the DIGIC 7 Image Processor in the EOS M5 camera can stay locked on throughout the action. Improved face tracking helps keep your friend or family member the subject of the photo. Even in extreme cases, like in low saturation or low-light dusk, dawn or darkened interior moments, the DIGIC 7 Image Processor helps keep what you're photographing in focus. It also features the new Dual Sensing IS, which uses data from the image itself to help minimize the blur caused by camera shake and body movement. This results in clear, sharp pictures even at slow shutter speeds. All this is in addition to upgraded detail and noise reduction abilities, especially in low light with high ISO settings. Powerful all around, the DIGIC 7 Image Processor helps ensure your photos and videos look sharp and lifelike with minimal unwanted noise or grain. Full HD 60p helps capture fast-moving subjects and brilliant results in MP4 format. Whether you're creating artistic film clips or capturing special occasions, the advanced video capabilities of the EOS M5 camera can catch them in the quality they deserve. Incredibly realistic 1080p Full HD video is recorded at 60 fps with stereo sound in convenient MP4 format. Video is smooth and richly detailed even when played back on a large-screen HDTV via the camera's HDMI output. The MP4 format's small file size lets you fit more on a single memory card, and makes downloading and sharing quick and easy. Manual movie mode is also available: adjust settings and even select focus points by using the touch panel LCD screen. You can do this even while looking through the viewfinder to express your vision your way however you shoot - all from a powerful camera that is easily portable. Digital IS with 5-axis image stabilization* when shooting movies plus increased image stabilization with both lens optical IS and in-camera digital IS when shooting with an IS lens. Sometimes you need to move the camera to create the video you want, whether you're panning over a gorgeous scenic vista or chasing after an excited puppy. Even when you hold the camera as steady as you can, some unintentional shaking is possible. To counter this, the EOS M5 camera features 5-axis Digital Image Stabilization* when recording video. Blur due to movement in the horizontal and vertical, yaw and pitch (tilting) and roll directions are all digitally minimized in-camera. For more stabilization, when a combination IS-compatible lens is attached, the EOS M5 can use the lens's Optical IS in conjunction with Digital IS for even less chance of blur due to shaking. These help ensure the videos you record are as sharp as possible. * Maximum image stabilization is achieved when using either the EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM or the EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM with the lens firmware update. Built-in high-resolution EVF (approx. 2,360,000 dots) with new Touch and Drag AF lets you manually move the AF frame displayed for more precise focusing in different shooting situations. In certain situations, like a bright sunny day, a viewfinder is preferable to a screen. The built-in high-resolution electronic viewfinder on the EOS M5 camera features approximately 2,360,000 dots so you can see high amounts of detail in what you're capturing. Its Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) technology offers high-contrast, high-color images that can help properly display the scene you want to capture. Touch and Drag AF lets you use the rear screen as a touchpad while you're using the viewfinder, so you can choose what you want the camera to focus on with just a tap of your finger and without moving the camera away from your face. Intuitive touch screen 3.2 tilt-type (85 degrees up/180 degrees down) LCD monitor (approx. 1,620,000 dots) enables flexible positioning and clear viewing. The EOS M5 camera has a large, high-resolution, 3.2" LCD monitor that tilts up 85 degrees and down 180 degrees, ideal for composing pictures at high and low angles with ease. Its touch screen is designed to be fast and easy to use for many operations, allowing accessible AF selection right on the panel. Easily customize functions while shooting using the Main Dial, Quick Control Dial, Dial Function Button and Exposure Compensation Dial. Spending time scrolling through menus and settings can distract you from enjoying the moment, or potentially missing a candid or action-filled shot. The EOS M5 camera features multiple customizable dials to help you keep the adjustments you want, right at your fingertips. The Main Dial is around the shutter, so you barely have to move your finger to change certain settings. The Quick Control Dial and Dial Function button on top lets you adjust settings like ISO speed quickly with your thumb. The handy Exposure Compensation Dial gives you fast access to exposure, so you can brighten shadows or bring down the highlights without having to dive through menus. Built-in Wi-Fi** and NFC*** allows for easy sharing and transferring of images and videos. The EOS M5 camera is designed to make Wi-Fi connections* fast and easy. It can exchange data with other Wi-Fi compatible Canon cameras, connect directly to Canon's Connect Station CS100 device, upload directly to various web services like CANON iMAGE GATEWAY***, Facebook® and YouTube®, and even play back images and movies on DLNA-compatible digital electronics. Equipped with Bluetooth**** Smart for smooth pairing with a compatible smartphone by powering on both devices for easy photo sharing and remote control possibilities. Thanks to Bluetooth**** Smart pairing, you can easily connect to and remotely control the EOS M5 camera from compatible smartphones. Once you've set up the initial pairing, you're able to set the camera to automatically connect when turned on. With this connection you're able to control camera operations like capturing an image, without needing to touch the camera. For that next level of connectivity, a direct Wi-Fi connection can be established, letting you use your phone as a viewfinder, and check and download previously captured photos and videos. Shorter camera startup time and interval time between each image capture for a more efficient shooting experience. You don't want to miss that key moment by having to wait for the camera to turn on. With a quick startup time of approx. 1.0 second, the EOS M5 camera goes from off to able to take a picture almost immediately. Thanks to its fast processing, there's also limited time between image captures. This means the EOS M5 is ready to take that first photo, and the next and the next, when you need it. Compatible with EF-M lenses as well as the full line of EF and EF-S lenses and Speedlites for expanded creativity. To expand creative opportunities, the EOS M5 camera is compatible with both EF-M lenses designed specifically for the EOS M series of digital cameras, as well as the full line of Canon's EF and EF-S lenses, plus other EOS accessories like Speedlites, Speedlite Transmitters and even Macro Ring Lites. Whether the EOS M5 is a primary or secondary camera, it boasts smooth compatibility with a wide range of EOS accessories. The 29mm-equivalent wide angle can help capture the entire mountain range, while the 240mm-equivalent telephoto lets you highlight just one peak. Compact and lightweight design allows for easy portability. To bolster its extensive zoom range, the EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM is compact and lightweight, measuring only 3.4 in. long and 2.4 in. in diameter, and weighing approximately 10.6 oz. It's designed for easy portability, making it an ideal walk-around lens for everyday scenes, vacations and more. Optical design helps provide excellent image quality across a broad zoom range comparable to the EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens. Featuring 17 lens elements in 13 groups, the EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM's advanced optical design helps ensure high image quality throughout its zoom range, comparable to the EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens. Optimal element placement, including one UD (Ultra Low Dispersion) lens element and two aspherical lens elements, helps minimize chromatic aberrations and fringing to help keep contrast and color accuracy high. Maximum magnification of 0.31x at focal length 150mm. To help you capture virtually every detail, the EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM provides a maximum magnification of 0.31x at focal length 150mm. Zoom in and see the texture of a flower's petals, the eyelashes on a friend's face or the whiskers on a cat's nose. The closest focusing distance is 0.82 ft. at 18-50mm or 1.48 ft. at 150mm, meaning you can get right up close to your subject with ease. Image Stabilizer effect at up to 4* stops of shake correction helps capture sharp images. For consistently sharp results, the EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM features an improved Image Stabilizer system that provides significantly enhanced shake reduction for up to 4 stops* of shutter speeds. This means more reliable handheld performance and clearer detail in low-light situations or at lower ISOs. Because of its enhanced stabilization, the EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM can also help minimize the need for a tripod. Combination IS is achieved when used with the EOS M5 digital camera for maximum image stabilization when shooting video. To help significantly reduce blur in videos due to camera shake, the EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM features Combination IS when used with the EOS M5 digital camera. This hybrid system augments the EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM's mechanical image stabilization with the 5-axis Digital Image Stabilization in the camera itself. This means that if you need to move the camera when recording video, your results can remain sharp and clear. Panning feature is supported when used with the EOS M5 digital camera by automatically adjusting the panning speed based on the subject's rate of progress. When used in conjunction with the EOS M5 digital camera, the EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM helps you achieve a smooth panning effect. The camera detects the subject of the photo, then the lens and camera work together to keep accurate focus. The image stabilization system assists by helping to minimize blur due to the camera's movement. Combined, they deliver photos and videos of subjects caught sharply in motion, with the background artistically blurred.

Adding a third ring to the lens, the SA Control Ring has a notable surface that can be differentiated from the Control Ring and Focusing Ring. A lock mechanism can be found on the side of the lens which locks the SA control ring to the middle position rendering standard, traditional operation, with no SA optical effects. Note: The effect of the SA control ring also changes depending on the aperture value*. * The effect is greatest at maximum aperture, and the effect decreases as the aperture is stopped down. (To obtain the desired effect, shooting with Aperture Priority AE is recommended). The effect of the SA control ring depends on the subject conditions (subject and background, foreground distance, etc.). Up to 8 stops of Shake Correction*** with Coordinated Optical Image Stabilizer and In-Body Image Stabilizer: When combined with an EOS R series camera equipped with In-Body Image Stabilizer, the lens' Optical Image Stabilizer teams up with the In-Body Image Stabilizer to provide coordinated IS up to 8 stops***, further helping to alleviate shaking for photos and video, and adjusting the ratio from optical to in-body stabilization automatically throughout the zoom range so you have the best of both worlds. High Speed, Smooth and Quiet Autofocus with Dual Nano USM: The RF100mm F2.8 L MACRO IS USM is equipped with dual independent Nano USMs to help achieve high-speed and focus accuracy throughout its focusing range. Control Ring for Direct Setting Changes: The RF100mm F2.8 L MACRO IS USM lens has a separate, independent Control Ring that is located towards the front of the lens, which can be programmable for immediate exposure adjustments during still and video shooting. Ricoh Ricoh GR IIIx Urban Edition $1,329.99
Inspired by street photographers who are in their element on the asphalt pavement, the RICOH GR IIIx “Urban Edition” features a metallic grey body that has a unique texture. It’s smooth but enables excellent grip, a combination of design and functionality. The blue lens ring cap complements the metallic grey colour. This camera also debuts several new functions, including Snap Distance Priority mode and Auto Area AF (Center) focus mode. 24.2 MP Digital Camera APS-C CMOS Sensor 26.1mm F2.8 Lens 3-axis, 4-step Shake Reduction 3.0 inch Touchscreen LCD Snap Distance Priority Mode: Newly added Snap Distance Priority in Exposure mode. By selecting the snap shooting distance and DOF in advance, just by selecting this mode you can instantly recall this setting. When the DOF 3 is selected, the aperture is set to nearly pan focus so you can release the shutter right away. Auto-Area AF (Center) Focus Mode: Newly added Auto-area AF (Center) in Focus mode. Auto-area AF works around the center of the frame (9 areas) instead of the entire frame. This prevents the camera from focusing on unintended areas such as the ground in front of you, allowing you more control of your street snaps. Special Power-Off Graphic: The Urban Edition features a special power-off graphic with a street-like texture on the background with the GR IIIx Urban Edition logo. Blue Lens Ring Cap and Metal Hot Shoe Cover: The camera body is accentuated by an eye-catching blue ring that encircles the lens barrel. It complements the metallic grey color the GR IIx Urban Edition and is exclusive to this series.   The RICOH GR IIIx is designed to further enhance the essential values of the GR-series: optimizing image quality, snapshot capabilities and portability. The newly designed 26.1mm GR lens provides a 40mm standard angle of view in the 35mm format, close to the photographer's own effective field of view, and delivering images with a more truthful sense of depth for a completely different type of street photography. Depending on the way the lens is used, this versatile angle of view can create different image renditions: you can capture an image similar to those taken at a 30mm semi-wide angle or create a completely different visual expression as if taken at a 50mm standard angle. It also provides a range of new and upgraded post-shooting functions to edit captured images to the photographer's preference.   Imaging performance without compromise: The GR lens achieves sharp imaging with high resolution and high contrast The GR lens has been imbued with RICOH's unique optical technology that aims to always provide high image quality. The GR III uses a slim optical system consisting of 6 elements 4 groups with a focal length of 18.3 mm (approx. 28 mm in 35 mm equivalent focal length) and aperture of F2.8. The GR IIIx uses a newly developed optical system consisting of 7 elements 5 groups with a new focal length of 26.1 mm (approx. 40 mm in 35 mm equivalent focal length). High-refractive index low-dispersion glass lenses and aspherical high-precision molded glass lenses are optimally placed in the lens construction according to each model's optical system to suppress optical distortion and chromatic aberration to the absolute limit, delivering a high level of sharpness. This results in images that are sharp and clear across the entire frame even from the full aperture setting. The detailed descriptive power of the 24.2 M large APS-C format image sensor The GR IIIx is equipped with a high-resolution, wide dynamic range APS-C format CMOS image sensor (approx. 24.24 effective megapixels). This high resolution sensor can handle a large size print and an anti-aliasing (AA) filterless construction that utilizes the characteristics of the high-resolution lens for high-definition detail reproduction. Both the image sensor and lens are also optimized for the best possible image quality. Advanced image processing and responsiveness. Meet the latest GR ENGINE 6 The imaging processor on GR IIIx is the latest GR ENGINE 6. It elevates the essential high image quality performance of the GR for a greater level of detail. Faster processing makes the combination of high resolution sensor and multi-tone 14-bit RAW possible. This also contributes to improved responsiveness and functionality for autofocus and movie. Shooting at ISO 102400 is possible with RICOH's original signal processing technology A high-performance processor "Accelerator Unit" is adopted on GR IIIx as a powerful way to support high image quality. The signal output by the image sensor is sent to the image processor after being optimally handled. This reduces noise, delivering superb resolution and color reproduction across the entire sensitivity range. It also makes it possible to shoot at ISO 102400. 3-axis, 4-step Shake Reduction for high image quality across a wide shooting range Camera shake is reduced for crisp images even when taking split-second snapshots. Shake Reduction (SR) is installed while making the body size of GR III/GR IIIx compact. It minimizes the shake on three axes, including yaw, pitch and roll. Compensation effects deliver as many as 4 steps of shutter speed*. * Measured in conformity with CIPA standards. AA filter simulator for reducing false colors and moiré thanks to Shake Reduction mechanism The effects of the optical anti-aliasing (AA) filter are obtained with Shake Reduction(SR). Moving the image sensor slightly during the exposure suppresses false colors and moire. You can choose whether to prioritize resolution or reducing false colors and moiré depending on your subject. Choose [High] or [Low] for effect settings. This function is available at shutter speeds slower than 1/1000 second.   Capture the moment: A compact body and functional design packed with high performance The GR IIIx was developed focusing on keeping the body size compact while including a high level of functionality. The model is one-size smaller than that of the GR II and about the same size of GR DIGITAL IV with a 1/1.7 inch image sensor. A minimalist design was pursued to achieve a tool with portability and expression in mind. The button and dial layout is fully considered to allow for comfortable, single-handed operation. Hybrid AF with the combination of image plane phase-matching and contrast-detection AF The AF system is a hybrid of image plane phase-matching and contrast detection. The advantages of high-speed focusing in image plane phase-matching AF and focusing precision in contrast-detection AF are combined. The common contrast-detection AF issue of searching for focus peaks has been reduced to achieve quick shooting performance required on street photography. High-speed approx. 0.8 second start-up from when the power is turned on A high output motor is used to drive the lens barrel so that it quickly moves from a retracted position to the shooting position. Also, the program process of start-up is optimized to reduce the start-up time. The built-in lens barrier also makes it unnecessary to remove the lens cap, so you will not miss a sudden photo opportunity. Focus modes that fit versatile subjects and shooting styles Eight focus modes are available including Continuous AF for versatile shooting styles. LCD monitor that supports touch operations is also adopted for direct control over the AF frame using touch and slide gestures. You can also focus (Touch AF) and shoot while moving the AF frame for quick shooting in any type of composition. Face/eye detect autofocus to assist portrait shooting The camera detects faces or eyes* and focuses. This feature is enabled in [Auto Area AF], [Select AF], and [Pinpoint AF]. When the face or eye is detected and in-focused, the focusing point is framed. It is also possible to enable this feature only in [Auto Area AF]. By using this setting, when you want to focus on a subject instead of faces, simply switch the focus mode without turning face/eye detect off. *GR III will be supported with the coming firmware update With Full Press Snap, you'll never miss a shot When the shutter button is pressed fully, the camera releases the shutter at the preset distance. This high-speed shooting functionality is unique to the GR, eliminating the focusing time lag when pressing the shutter button halfway so that you can instantly capture split-second moments. Full Press Snap also takes place by touching the LCD monitor. *The latest firmware is required to use the full feature with GR III. Touch panel and control dial that enables intuitive controls The LCD monitor features a touch panel. Simply touch and slide to move the AF frame or access the menu. Macro mode, enabling close-up shots with the camera alone Simply press the macro button to take close-up shots using autofocus. The focus range is 6 to 12 cm (GR III) and 12 to 24 cm (GR IIIx) from the front of the lens. You can enjoy impressive close-up photos with rich bokeh effects. The macro mode and normal mode must be switched manually. The camera also switches to the macro mode and autofocus is enabled even when the focus mode is set to [Snap] or [infinity]. Capture star trails with the surrounding scenery even in the city with interval composite shooting The setting items is specialized for star trail shooting. You can select this feature from drive modes for instant shooting. No need to set shooting interval of continuous shooting. Star trails can be set in 10 minute intervals (up to 24 hours), or you can choose from an unlimited shooting time. In addition, you can select many other settings such as saving interim images, set the trigger starting time and more. Use a tripod. Note that slow shutter speed noise reduction and SR are turned off. Focus, exposure, and white balance are fixed at the value of the first shot. Instantly manipulate the view and expand your range of expression with the crop mode Using the crop mode enables you to shoot compositions equivalent to having 3 lenses in a single camera. Images are recorded at an angle of view equivalent to a focal length of 35 mm or 50 mm with GR III and equivalent to a focal length of 50 mm or 71 mm with GR IIIx. Using the GR III and GR IIIx together covers from wide angle focal lengths to medium telephoto focal lengths. This expands the range of expression from wide angle shots with a sense of realism that capture a great deal of background information to medium telephoto shots suitable for such things as portraits and natural standard shots that resemble the actual subject. The focal length is equivalent in 35 mm format. Number of recorded pixel will change depending on the crop size.
